Asprouda Arilogi
Introduction
Asprouda Arilogi is an extremely rare white variety from Kefalonia, belonging to the large family of 'Asproudes' of the Ionian. Its name 'Arilogi' (or Aralogiki) indicates its loosely packed bunch (sparse + order), a feature that naturally protects it from diseases and makes it a valuable tool in the hands of winemakers who seek quality over quantity.
Tasting Notes

Gastronomy
Seafood: Grilled fish, seafood risotto, or steamed mussels. Local Cuisine: Kefalonian cod pie or light dishes with white meat. Cheeses: Soft white cheeses, such as feta or traditional Kefalonian stoumpi.
Terroir
Cultivated in a very limited area in Kefalonia, mainly in semi-mountainous regions with limestone soils. Its ability to adapt to rocky soils with good drainage allows it to produce fruit with concentrated characteristics. The climate of Kefalonia, with high rainfall in winter and intense sunshine moderated by the sea breeze and the forest of Ainos, is ideal. Asprouda Arilogi benefits from the humidity of the Ionian, maintaining its vibrancy.
