Pheidia
Introduction
Pheidia is one of the most enigmatic genotypes of the Greek vineyard. Its case highlights the challenges of modern ampelography, as the variety balances between conflicting reports about its color (white or red) and an extremely limited geographical presence extending from Messinia to Corfu.
Tasting Notes
At the Winery (White version): It produces wines with satisfactory aromas and moderate acidity.
Terroir
Pheidia is found in three distinct poles: Messinia (Pylia/Messini), Corfu (Sinarades), Thessaly. It is described as early and particularly productive.
