Epirus
Epirus is a smaller but particularly interesting wine region in northwestern Greece, with vineyards mainly in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas. The climate is cooler and more continental than other Greek regions, while limestone and rocky soils help create wines with freshness and character. The region includes the PDO Zitsa zone and the broader PGI Epirus indication, underscoring the uniqueness of the local vineyard.
