Intro
Garalis Winery is a family business located in Limnos, in Agios Dimitrios.
Estate
It was established in 2007 by Manolis Garalis and Maria Markaki, after seven years of preparation, gathering expertise, and developing a wine identity.
Vineyards
The main goal is to highlight the local terroir and preserve indigenous varieties, mainly Limnio and Muscat of Alexandria. Winemaking is done with respect for tradition, in a gentle intervention style, but also with more modern versions (such as orange wines). Varieties & Labels: Limnio 2021 – 100% Limnio, dry red (PDO Limnos), 13% vol. Pairs well with spicy dishes, poultry, and cheeses. Muscat 2024 – 100% Muscat of Alexandria, white, fresh, and aromatic. Terra Roza 2023 – Rosé blend of Limnio & Muscat. Terra Ambera 2022 – Muscat of Alexandria in orange style, with skin contact. Retsina of Limnos – Traditional retsina from Muscat of Alexandria. Other labels: Muscat, Roseus, Terra Ambera/Roza, also available through e-shops.
Tourism
The winery in Agios Dimitrios, Limnos, is open to visitors by appointment, offering an authentic experience of connecting with the producer and the place.
