Bassis Estate
Intro
Bassis Estate is one of the most historic wineries in northern Attica, with a journey that began in 1925 by Anastasios Bassis. Today, the management is undertaken by the third generation, led by Tasos Bassis, a chemist-oenologist with studies in Bordeaux, who continues the family tradition with an emphasis on quality and modernization.
Estate
Bassis Estate is located in Avlona, Attica, at the 50th km of the Athens–Lamia National Road. It was founded in 1925 by Anastasios Bassis. Today it is managed by the third generation, led by Tasos Bassis, a chemist-oenologist with studies in Bordeaux.
Vineyards
The vineyards are developed on the slopes of Mount Parnitha at an altitude of approximately 350 meters. Varieties cultivated include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Savatiano, Roditis, Moschofilero. The winery has modern facilities with stainless steel tanks and a design that utilizes gravity at every stage. The wine series include: Kiveli’s Series, Aesthisis, Single Varietals, Bassis Retsina, PGI Attica Blend.
Tourism
The winery is not open to the public.
