Alexakis Winery was founded in the 1970s by chemist-oenologist Stelios Alexakis and his wife Sofia, in the area of Agios Thomas, near Heraklion, Crete. Today, it is one of the largest and most modern facilities in Crete, with the second and third generations — their sons Lazaros and Apostolos — continuing its dynamic progress and development.

Notable wines include: Malvasia Aromatica – a single-varietal label with intense aromatic expression, Syrah / Kotsifali – red versions with rich character, Assyrtiko – a white wine with typicity and an export profile.
