Ktima Lalikos
Intro
Ktima Lalikos was founded by Konstantinos Lalikos, with the first vineyard planting in 1989 in the area of Palia Kavala, on the slopes of Mount Pangaio, at an altitude of approximately 500–700 meters, overlooking the island of Thasos. The modern winery was completed in 2005, before that year's harvest, and operated fully as a model mountain winery.
Estate
Ktima Lalikos was founded by Konstantinos Lalikos. The modern winery was completed in 2005. The label LALiKOS THE WHITE has won many awards in international competitions (gold and silver medals in Concours and Balkans Wine Competitions) for the years 2015-2019.
Vineyards
The privately owned vineyards cover approximately 230 stremmas, planted in dense linear form on four different mountains of Mount Pangaio. The cultivated varieties in the area include Viognier, Grenache Rouge, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Muscat Blanc, Tannat, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The most notable label of the estate is “LALiKOS THE WHITE”.
Tourism
Although there is no clear information about visits or a tasting room, the winery operates as a modern production and winemaking space of high aesthetics in Palia Kavala. Limited tastings may be available upon communication.
