Oinotria Gi Estate – Domaine Costa Lazaridi (Attica)
Estate
The Oinotria Gi Estate is located on the slopes of the Marathon basin, at an altitude of 200–300 meters, on clay soils rich in calcium with a northern orientation. The microclimate of the lake ideally regulates the temperature in the area. It covers approximately 200 stremmas, first planted in 2000, with the first bottling in 2005.
Vineyards
It follows organic cultivation (certified by DIO), with particular emphasis on providing natural water, minimizing any external irrigation. Winemaking is conducted in a modern, gravity-fed winery, equipped with stainless steel tanks, automatic temperature control, and the use of barrels for aging. Main Wine Labels: Cabernet Sauvignon – Agiorgitiko (BIO), Syrah – Agiorgitiko (BIO). Notable wines include: Cabernet Sauvignon – Agiorgitiko 2022: 90% Cabernet, 10% Agiorgitiko, aged 18 months in French barrels, with a rich character and high structure. Syrah – Agiorgitiko: intense aromatic complexity, long-lasting finish, velvety tannins.
Tourism
The estate welcomes visitors daily, offering tours, tastings, and event organization by appointment. Tours last 45–60 minutes, with an entrance fee of approximately €5, covering the route from the winery to the Wine Museum. Part of the complex is the Costa Lazaridi Wine Museum, which hosts a rich collection of historical objects related to viticulture and winemaking, on two levels with audiovisual aids. The estate also functions as a venue for events (social and corporate), with available spaces for tours, conferences, and tastings.
