Vineyards
The Union collaborates with hundreds of vine growers in Limnos, managing approximately 3,000 stremmas of vineyards. Vineyard altitude: up to 250 meters. Climate: Mediterranean, coastal, and dry. Average annual temperature: 16°C. Average vineyard age: 20 years. Soils: sandy, clayey, loamy, and volcanic. Traditional goblet-shaped vine training. Manual harvesting. Organic cultivation. The main varieties of the cooperative are Limnio and Muscat of Alexandria. Limnos Wines produces approximately 700,000 bottles annually, focusing on aromatic wines from Muscat of Alexandria and reds from Limnio.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors by appointment from May to October, Monday to Friday, 10:00–14:00. Tours are conducted in Greek and English. There is no access for people with disabilities.
