Manousakis Winery, known for the Nostos labels, is located in Vatolakkos, Chania.
Estate
Its history began in 1993 when Theodoros (Ted) Manousakis, after years in the USA, returned to his homeland and planted the first vineyards on the village slopes. From a small family venture, the winery evolved into a modern facility with international recognition.
Vineyards
The vineyards extend at an altitude of 320–600 meters, cultivated mainly with organic practices. The varieties include international ones such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Roussanne, and Cretan ones like Vidiano, Vilana, Assyrtiko, Romeiko.
Tourism
The winery operates as a vibrant cultural center. Visitors enjoy tours, Nostos wine tastings, and dining in the courtyard among olive and orange groves, accompanied by local delicacies. Reservations are available for tastings, meals, and summer events, while it collaborates with local providers for transportation.
