Antonopoulos Vineyards
Intro
Antonopoulos Vineyards, created by Konstantinos Antonopoulos, is based in the mountainous and semi-mountainous Achaia, with the main vineyard in Vasiliko Achaia and a winery with modern facilities.
Estate
The current form of the winery was shaped around 1994 by the Chalikias family, who continued the vision and invested in new facilities.
Vineyards
The vineyards extend at an altitude of 150–900 meters, covering a total of 855 stremmas, of which 290 are privately owned. The estate focuses on highlighting Greek indigenous varieties, combined with international selections. Production is distributed into 80% white and 20% red wines. Main labels include Adoli Ghis, Mantineia, Gris de Noir, Chardonnay, Malagouzia, Nea Drys, Private Collection, Morfeas, Gerontoklima Rematias. The Private Collection 2017 is characterized by aromas of cherry, spices, and oak, with 12 months aging in oak barrels.
Tourism
The winery is located in Vasiliko Achaia and is sometimes combined with activities of the historic Achaia Clauss, offering opportunities for wine tourism experiences.
