Kalogris Organic Winery
Intro
The winery is located in Kapsas, Arcadia, on the Mantineia plateau, at an altitude of approximately 670 meters, with clay-loam soils ideal for Moschofilero.
Estate
The family has been cultivating vineyards here for over a century (since 1870). In 1980, Evangelos Kalogris transformed the family home into an organic winery. The wines are exported to the USA, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, England, and France.
Vineyards
The estate covers about 3 hectares, with all work done by hand. The production is organic and vegan, certified by DIO (organic) and Certify Bio (vegan). The labels are produced without filters, additives, or sulfites. Winemaking follows traditional methods: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, low intervention, small batches. The portfolio is exclusively based on Moschofilero and includes: Dialogues ØKO – orange wine with natural fermentation, no sulfites. Mister Helios – white 100% Moschofilero. Mrs. Poulia, Tatiani – expressive small production series. Θ 2022 – sweet-orange wine with ten days of skin contact, biodynamic cultivation.
Tourism
Recognized as the first certified visitable winery in Mantineia, offering tours, tastings with local delicacies, and a particularly friendly, experiential experience.
