Mykonos Vioma Organic Farm
Intro
Vioma stands out as a haven of authenticity and tranquility, offering an experience that connects with nature, tradition, and the local culture of Mykonos.
Estate
The Vioma Organic Farm is located in Ano Mera, Mykonos, in the historic vineyard of the Panagia Tourliani Monastery. The farm was revitalized in 1994 by the Asimomyti family, aiming to preserve the island's viticultural heritage and revive it with an ecological character.
Vineyards
Cultivation is based on organic and biodynamic practices, without the use of chemicals or intensification, respecting tradition and the balance of nature. The vineyard grows traditional Aegean varieties such as Assyrtiko, Athiri, Monemvasia, Malagouzia, Aigiannitis, and Mandilaria. Wines produced include Paraportiano (white & red), Veggera (rosé), and Iliofilos – a naturally sweet sun-dried wine. Additionally, the farm produces honey, petimezi, and seasonal vegetables.
Tourism
Vioma operates as an agritourism destination, open May–October (11:00–16:30) and with limited hours in April & November (12:00–15:00). Visitors can participate in free vineyard tours, learn about biodynamic cultivation methods, enjoy cycling routes within the estate, and taste its products in a peaceful and authentic environment, away from the bustling areas of Mykonos.
