Ousyra Winery — Syros
Intro
Ousyra Winery is a small family-owned winery located in the village of Chroussa on Syros, with its first vinification taking place in 2018. Its name—which means "happiness" in the Cycladic dialect—reflects the founders' love for local culture and the philosophy of joy surrounding wine.
Vineyards
The winery collaborates exclusively with organic vineyards, using ungrafted vines (Ungrafted Project), and focuses on highlighting rare Cycladic varieties such as Serifiotiko, Fokiano, and Monemvasia. Labels: Ousyra Rosé – from Fokiano, an almost extinct variety, with a fruity character and finesse. Serifiotiko – a rare white variety with salty acidity and sharp minerality. Monemvasia 2024 – a refined white with fruity expression and salty finish, already distinguished in reviews.
Tourism
Ousyra offers tours and tastings at the Ungrafted Serifiotiko Project vineyards, with reservations required. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the land and the glass in a comprehensive experience.
