Aoton Winery
Intro
The name “Aoton” comes from the ancient Greek word meaning "the finest specimen." It reflects the winery's philosophy: producing high-quality wines with authenticity and dedication to the terroir.
Estate
Located in Paiania, in the heart of Mesogeia, Attica — an area with a long-standing viticultural history. The Gkinis family maintained a wine press at the same location, continuing the tradition from generation to generation. Sotiris Gkinis, an oenologist and the family's tradition bearer (4th–5th generation), is in charge.
Vineyards
Total area: ~60 stremmas. Main varieties: Savvatiano, Roditis, Mandilaria. Many vines over 60 years old. Certified organic cultivation. Night harvesting to preserve aromas and freshness. Labels & Wines: Aoton Lola (Retsina 2020), Aoton Mandilaria (2022), Aoton Retsina (2022), Aoton Roditis (2021), Aoton Savvatiano (2023), Seventeen (2017).
