Lykos Winery
Intro
Lykos Winery is located in Malakonta, Eretria, in Evia, just 80 km from Athens. It was founded in 1991 by Apostolos Lykos, continuing the family tradition that combines wine and gastronomy – the family restaurant operates next to the winery and remains open to visitors, serving as a focal point of the experience. Today, the third generation is advancing the estate with modern oenological techniques, blending tradition and innovation.

Founded in 1991 by Apostolos Lykos. Located in Malakonta, Eretria, in Evia. Award-winning labels include Malagousia (P.G.I. Evia) – Gold Berlin Trophy 2016, 90/100 at Decanter, and Kratistos (Agiorgitiko Nemea) – Awards at Berliner Wein Trophy and CWSA 2016.
Vineyards
The winery's vineyards extend across Central & Southern Evia, Mountainous Boeotia & Thebes, P.D.O. Nemea (Koutsi). Greek varieties such as Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Roditis, Vradianos, Athiri, Mavrokountoura, Agiorgitiko are cultivated, as well as international ones like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache Rouge, Muscat. The range includes white, red, rosé, sparkling, sweet wines, and spirits. Available labels in cellars: Ageli Chardonnay, Gefyra (white & red), Malagousia 2024, Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Syrah 2018.
Tourism
The winery features underground cellars with oak barrels, a bottling line, and a tasting room. Visitors enjoy a tour of the production areas & cellars, tastings with local accompaniments, a meal at the family restaurant with wine and food pairing, and a wine shop with special prices for visitors.
