Nico Lazaridi Estate is located in Agoriani, Drama, at the foothills of Mount Pangaio. It was founded in 1987 by Nikos Lazaridis, a businessman in the marble industry. His passion for history and art led him to create a winery that combines wine with artistic expression.
Estate
Founded in 1987 by Nikos Lazaridis, the estate has received significant international accolades, including a Gold Medal for Château Nico Lazaridi Red 2016 at Mundus Vini, a Grand Gold Medal for Château Nico Lazaridi Red 2018 at the Berliner Wine Trophy, and a Silver Medal for Château Nico Lazaridi White 2019 at the Berliner Wine Trophy.
Vineyards
The vineyard area exceeds 1,800 stremmas, with Greek and international varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Assyrtiko, Syrah, Malagouzia, Merlot, Agiorgitiko, and Chardonnay. The winery covers approximately 13,000 sq.m. and is fully equipped with modern technology for wine production and bottling. The estate's main wine series are “Château Nico Lazaridi” (in white, rosé, and red), “Perpetuus,” “Cavalieri,” and “Magic Mountain” (in white and red).
Tourism
The winery features the "Magic Mountain" Art Gallery, which hosts works inspired by the wine labels. Visitors can participate in organized tours of the vineyards, production and bottling areas, the cellar, and the gallery.
