Gentilini Winery & Vineyards
Intro
Gentilini Winery, a boutique family-owned establishment in Kefalonia, was founded in 1984 and has been in the second generation of the family since 2002. Its goal from the beginning has been to produce high-quality wines that highlight the terroir of Kefalonia.
Estate
Located near the village of Minies, next to the Argostoli–Airport road, just 2 km from Lassi. The winery has been ISO 14001 certified for environmental management since 2011.
Vineyards
The estate covers approximately 10 hectares (5 owned and 5 contracted with growers). Varieties include Robola, Mavrodaphne, Moschofilero, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Tsaousi, and other local varieties. Cultivation is done with sustainable practices, without pesticides and herbicides. The terroir, with limestone and gravel soils, ideally highlights Robola with floral and mineral characteristics. All production and bottling take place at the Gentilini winery, using high-quality European-made barrels.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors from Orthodox Easter until the end of October. Guests enjoy tastings in a beautiful garden, with snacks, bread, olives, and olive oil, as well as the opportunity to purchase wines on-site. Tours are conducted in English and French and have received excellent reviews for hospitality and authentic experience.
