Theotoky Estate – Corfu
Intro
The estate is not limited to the production of wines and exceptional olive oil but also incorporates culture and history. It features a rich library with approximately 35,000 volumes, mainly about Byzantium, the Balkans, and the Ionian Islands, as well as a wine museum showcasing the evolution of Greek winemaking over time.
Estate
The Theotoky Estate is located in the Ropa Valley, just 17 km from the town of Corfu. The estate spans 300 stremmas with vineyards, olive groves, and pine forest. It has belonged for generations to the historic Theotoky family, one of the oldest and most significant in Greece.
Vineyards
The production includes white, rosé, red, sweet, and flavored wines, as well as spirits. Varieties cultivated include: Robola, Kakotrygis (local), Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate also produces high-quality olive oil, a key element of its identity.
Tourism
Visitors enjoy organized tours and tastings that include wines, cheeses, salami, and olives, all paired with the estate's olive oil. The environment is characterized by tranquility and authenticity, and the experience is highly praised. The tasting participation fee is approximately €14 per person.
