Ariousios Winery – Ariousios Estate, Chios
Intro
The Ariousios Estate is located on the southwestern slopes of Chios, in the Amani region near the village of Egrigoros, approximately 59 km from the island's town. It was established during the period 1999–2001 with the aim of reviving the ancient reputation of 'Ariousios wine,' which is already mentioned in Homeric and Byzantine texts as one of the finest wines of antiquity.

Vineyards
The estate exclusively cultivates indigenous varieties, such as Chiotiko Krassero and Agiannitis (red), as well as Assyrtiko and Athiri (white). The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 200–300 meters, with a cool breeze from the Aegean contributing to the freshness and quality of the grapes. Significant Labels & Styles - Ariousia Chora: white Assyrtiko–Athiri, fresh and aromatic. - Afstiros: red from Chiotiko Krassero & Agiannitis, aged with a structured character. - Glikazon: semi-sweet red, passito style, with balance and charm. - Assyrtiko (Orange): dry orange wine with natural vinification, citrus and herbal aromas. - Chiotiko Krassero: natural red with sun-drying for intensity and authenticity. - Armonia: Malagouzia–Assyrtiko blend, with aromatic richness and balance.
Tourism
The winery welcomes visitors for tastings and tours, especially during the summer months, while group visits are possible year-round by appointment.
