Ktima Spiropoulos – Mantinia Estate
Intro
Ktima Spiropoulos, also known as Domaine Spiropoulos, has roots dating back to 1870 and is located in Mantinia, Peloponnese, at an altitude of 650–680 meters, ideal for the expressive cultivation of Moschofilero.
Estate
The family replanted the vineyards in the 1970s, simultaneously creating an experimental vineyard for nearly extinct varieties. Since 1993, their wines have received numerous awards, and organic cultivation is certified by the international body IFOAM.
Vineyards
The estate has ~41.5 stremmas of organic vineyards in Mantinia and partnerships for an additional ~15 stremmas, with varieties such as Moschofilero, Roditis, Agiorgitiko, as well as international ones like Syrah, Chardonnay, Merlot. All production follows sustainable, minimally invasive practices. Labels: Mantinia PDO, Ode Panos White / Rosé, Meliasto, Oreino White & Red, Nemea Reserve / Nemea, Porfyros.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors and offers tastings and tours, collaborating with organizations like Gastronomy Tours.
