Ktima Kostantakis
Intro
Ktima Kostantakis is located in the village of Pollonia on Milos, just 500 meters from the coast and 11 km from the port of Adamas. The family tradition in viticulture spans decades, but the major step was taken in 2012 when Kostas Mallis (known as Kostantakis) created the island's first underground winery, built inside a natural cave. The first production was bottled in 2013, aiming to revive the wine identity of Milos.
Estate
Ktima Kostantakis is unique in its kind on Milos, recognized as a “hidden gem” by travel guides. The tasting experience is ranked among the top activities on the island, with excellent visitor reviews (4.9/5 on GetYourGuide).
Vineyards
The estate has approximately 35 stremmas of vineyards, planted in volcanic, porous soils that offer ideal conditions for viticulture. The arid Mediterranean climate of Milos produces wines with intense character, rich aromas, and balanced taste intensity. Whites: Assyrtiko, Monemvasia, Roditis, Moschato. Notable are the Spilia Assyrtiko and the multi-varietal blend Spilia White (Roditis, Savvatiano, Monemvasia). Rosé & Reds: Aidani Mavro, Mandilaria, Mavrotragano. Available as Spilia Rosé, Spilia Red, and Spilia Semi-Sweet Rosé.
Tourism
The winery operates as a full wine tourism destination: Tour of the vineyard and the unique cave winery. Tasting of up to 7 wines and spirits, accompanied by local cheeses and appetizers. Open from May to October (12:00–21:00), usually without the need for a reservation.
