Moschato Mavro
Introduction
Moschato Mavro (internationally known as Muscat of Hamburg) is a unique case in the Greek vineyard, balancing between being a table grape and a winemaking variety. Although its origin is English, the variety found its "second home" in Tyrnavos, where it became a cultural and economic symbol of the region, offering an impressive range of products: from innovative white blanc de noir and rosé wines to top-quality sun-dried sweet wines and the famous tsipouro.
Terroir
It dominates in Tyrnavos (15,000 stremmas), but is also found in Messinia, Achaia, Euboea, Crete, and the Ionian Islands.
