Ktima Erithrou Rodou
Intro
Ktima Erithrou Rodou is located in the wine-growing zone of Kokkinogeia in Drama, in a valley traversed by the Aggitis River, with rocky and marble subsoil that offers an ideal terroir. The name "Erithrou Rodou" combines the red soil of the area with the family name Triantafyllidis (meaning "son of the rose"), providing an identity deeply rooted in the place and tradition.
Vineyards
The vineyard spans approximately 25 stremmas and primarily cultivates white varieties: Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Muscat of Alexandria, and Gewürztraminer, with an emphasis on purity and expression of the local terroir. The production focuses on expressive white wines with a distinct identity: Malagousia 2023: crystal-clear pale yellow, with aromas of lemon, lychee, rose, and mint, with a finish reminiscent of "rose delight." Assyrtiko 2022: golden, with aromas of citrus, jasmine, wet pebble, and butter, with balanced acidity and texture.
Tourism
The winery is not yet open to visitors, but its production stands out for its boutique character, focusing on quality and highlighting the Drama terroir.
