Tsikrikonis Winery
Intro
Tsikrikonis Winery is located in the village of Myrtofytos, Kavala, at the foothills of Mount Symbol, at an altitude of up to 350 meters and just 3 km from the Aegean Sea. The Tsikrikonis family has been involved in viticulture and winemaking for three generations, combining respect for tradition with modern techniques.
Vineyards
The privately owned vineyards cover 100 stremmas and are distributed across four different vineyard sites. The immediate proximity to the sea and the area's microclimate impart a unique expressiveness to the wines, with terroir characteristics that combine freshness and aromatic intensity. The main varieties cultivated are: White: Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Sauvignon Blanc Rosé: Xinomavro (“Rozaki”) Red: Xinomavro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Notable labels: Rozaki – rosé from Xinomavro, with excellent reviews Malagousia 2023 – white, aromatic with notes of blossom and citrus
Tourism
The winery is fully accessible to visitors, offering organized tours, tastings in Greek and English, as well as accommodation in the guesthouse. It also organizes events and themed experiences such as sailing & wine, combining maritime tourism with wine tourism.
