Intro
The winery is located in the village of Thiramonas, in southern Kefalonia. It continues a long-standing family tradition and is currently managed by Nikos Petrakopoulos in collaboration with oenologist Kiki Siameli. Production is based on small, fragmented vineyards with rare indigenous varieties, reaching approximately 22,000 bottles annually.
Vineyards
Their philosophy is terroir-driven, with minimal intervention and respect for biodiversity. They apply organic and biodynamic farming practices, using old vineyards and local varieties to highlight the authenticity of the region. Distinguished Labels: Palia Armakia BIO (Robola) – from old Robola vineyards, with organic, natural winemaking, unfiltered, intensely mineral, with citrus notes and floral character. Mov Prephylloxera (Mavrodaphne) – from pre-phylloxera vineyards, aged 24 months in barriques; multi-layered, with black fruits, spices, and velvety tannins. Kokkino (2023) – red from Mavrodaphne, with short extraction; fruity, refreshing, with notes of red fruits. Mavro (2022) – 100% Mavrodaphne; rich body, aromas of blackberry, vanilla, cocoa, and spices. Gold (2023, Zakynthino) – aromatic white, with peach, wet leaves, and a lemony finish. Roz – rosé from Mavrodaphne, fruity, refreshing, cherry-like.
