Ktima Mavrogianni
Intro
Ktima Mavrogianni is a family-owned winery with a history of nearly 50 years. It began in 1967 with the first planting by Panagiotis Mavrogiannis in the Apideonas area, Western Achaia, on the slopes of Mount Movri, with a southern orientation that favors the production of quality wines.
Estate
The tradition is passed down from generation to generation: from the founder Panagiotis Mavrogiannis to the oenologist Dionysis Mavrogiannis and his wife Eleni Papanikolaou, to their children, Panagiotis and Theodora, who bring a new perspective to the modern course of the estate.
Vineyards
Cultivation focuses on indigenous Greek varieties such as Roditis Alepou, Moschoudi, Moschato Patron, Mavrodaphne, Avgoustiatis, Santameriana, and Vertzami. At the same time, international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc are also cultivated. Since 2007, an integrated management system has been implemented, aiming to reduce chemical inputs and protect the environment, emphasizing a commitment to sustainability.
