Hatzidakis Winery
Intro
Hatzidakis Winery was founded in 1997 by oenologist Haridimos Hatzidakis and Konstantina Chrysou, following their experience at Boutari Winery in Santorini. Konstantina's "kanavaki"—an abandoned cave in the village of Pyrgos Kallistis—was transformed into a winery with passion and manual labor, giving life to the island's first certified organic vineyard.
Estate
Hatzidakis Winery was established in 1997 in the village of Pyrgos Kallistis, Santorini. Haridimos Hatzidakis, known as the "wine wizard" of Santorini, left a strong mark on the Greek wine world. After 2017, his daughters—Stella, Antoni, and Ariadne—continue his vision with respect and dedication.
Vineyards
From the beginning, fully organic cultivation has been applied to every vineyard plot, making the business the only certified organic grower in Santorini. Since 2016, the winery operates in cave-like facilities, integrated into the volcanic environment, with ideal natural temperature conditions for fermentation and aging. The production includes iconic labels such as Santorini Familia, Cuvée No 15, Skitali, Nykteri, Assyrtiko de Louros, Rosette, Mavrotragano, Vinsanto, Liasimo, and Voudomato. Nykteri stands out for its strength and complexity, while Santorini Familia (100% Assyrtiko) impresses with freshness, lemony notes, and an elegant finish.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors year-round, offering tours and wine tasting experiences by appointment, providing a unique introduction to the terroir and the art of Santorini wine.
