Patoinos – Terre de l’Apocalypse is a small, agroecological estate on the island of Patmos, aiming to revive local viticulture through sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
Estate
The initiative began in 2011, with the creation of the first vineyards after decades of abandonment, thanks to the support of Swiss oenologists.
Vineyards
A 2 ha vineyard with local varieties Assyrtiko (white) and Mavrothiriko (red). Winemaking follows low-intervention practices, with minimal interference. Main labels: Patoinos Assyrtiko 2022, Patoinos Mavrothiriko 2022, Patoinos Assyrtiko Orange 2022.
Tourism
The estate is open to visitors and offers tasting tours (~€30) that include a tour of the vineyards and habitat, a presentation of the ecological project by the producers themselves, and wine tasting in an authentic island setting.
