Charalamboglou Estate
Intro
The Charalamboglou Estate winery is located in the Krinida area of Serres, at the foothills of Mount Pangaio, at an altitude of approximately 180–360 meters. It was founded in 1999 by Giorgos and Argyri Charalamboglou, expanding the family tradition from their father's small vineyard to about 150 stremmas of organically cultivated vineyards.
Estate
Founded in 1999 by Giorgos and Argyri Charalamboglou. It is located in the Krinida area of Serres, at the foothills of Mount Pangaio. Charalamboglou Estate has received several awards, including Gold at the Berliner Wine Trophy and Silver at Detrop Oenos 2016.
Vineyards
Cultivation began organically in 2004 with BIO HELLAS certification. The cultivated varieties include Greek ones such as Koniaros, Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Moschato, Roditis, and Vidiano, as well as international ones like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The main wine series of the estate are B stasis white and red, semi-sweet rosé, and the Lykopetra series. Charalamboglou Estate produces two single-varietal organic reds—Merlot and Syrah—aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
Tourism
The winery operates as a visitor-friendly unit with tours of the vineyard and production process, wine tasting in a room within the vineyard. Visits by appointment, Monday and Wednesday 12:00–22:00.
