Amargiotakis Winery
Intro
Amargiotakis Winery is located in Dafnes, Heraklion, Crete, within the PDO Liatiko wine region.
Estate
The tradition began in 1965 with grandfather Amargiotakis producing the first wines. Today, the third generation is represented by Manolis Amargiotakis, who since 2003 has brought new energy to the estate, and in 2017 fully upgraded the facilities in collaboration with his wife, Eleftheria.
Vineyards
The winery cultivates approximately 80 stremmas of privately owned vineyards, along with partner producers, under strict quality control. The cultivation is single-varietal, focusing on showcasing indigenous varieties such as Liatiko, Kotsifali, Mandilari, Vilana, Thrapsathiri, as well as some international ones like Syrah.
Tourism
The facilities are fully modernized and operate year-round. The winery is open to visitors by appointment, offering tours of the production areas, underground cellars, and wine tastings.
