Ktima Zoinos
Intro
Ktima Zoinos was established in 2006 as an independent winery in the historic zone of Zitsa, Epirus, near Ioannina. Its roots lie in the Local Agricultural Cooperative, which since 1954 has been at the forefront of promoting the local Debina variety, recognized as PDO Zitsa in 1972. Today, the winery continues with modernized facilities, a wine and distillation center, and export activities.
Estate
The estate is just 26 km from Ioannina, in an idyllic location with a rich natural environment that enhances the wine tourism experience.
Vineyards
The estate boasts over 250 stremmas of organic vineyards, cultivating indigenous varieties such as Debina, Vlachiko, Bekari, as well as international ones (Chardonnay, Traminer, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah). Additionally, there is an experimental vineyard with 28 local varieties of Epirus, aiming to highlight new expressions of the terroir.
Tourism
The winery is located at an altitude of 700 meters, with fresh air and views of the Zitsa hills. It is open to visitors year-round and offers two types of tastings: - Standard (€8 / 60’): Debina Classic, AURELIA (rosé sparkling), ARKTOUROS (red), Zoinos tsipouro, with accompaniments. - Premium (€15 / 90’): bio Debina, Sparkling Extra Brut, Sirios (dry rosé), Vlachiko (red), aged tsipouro, with a platter of local delicacies.
