Karsanikos Family Winery – Lefkada

The winery is located in the village of Karya, in Lefkada, approximately 14 km from the town. It is housed in a traditional stone-built building and carries over 100 years of family experience in winemaking. Today, the Rekatsina family continues the tradition with the support of experienced oenologists.

Vineyards
The vineyards are situated in dry, semi-mountainous landscapes, at an altitude of approximately 550 meters, planted on traditional dry stone terraces (xerolithies). Yields are low (400–500 kg/stremma). Varieties: Vertzami – the emblematic red variety of Lefkada. White and rosé wines. Epilogus – sweet wine from sun-dried grapes.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors by appointment. Guests enjoy a tour of the facilities, an introduction to historical winemaking tools, tastings, and views from the altitude of 550 meters.
