Papargyriou Estate
Estate
Papargyriou Estate is located in Laliotis, Corinthia, approximately 10 km southwest of Kiato, in a semi-mountainous zone. It was founded in 1978 by Aristeidis Papargyriou. The construction of the winery began in 1983 and was completed in 1996. The first wines were released in the early '80s, and in 1993, it obtained a bottling license. The wines are exported to Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, USA, United Kingdom, Austria, and Cyprus.
Vineyards
The estate has approximately 170 stremmas of vineyards. After the fire in 2000, new plantings were made in Sofiana, Corinthia, with varieties such as Syrah, Mavrodaphne, Riesling, and Zakynthino. Yiannis Papargyriou applies low yields (below 800 kg/stremma), green harvesting, and strict monitoring of ripening. The wine range includes Papargyriou Blanc, Late Harvest, and Yli 35 (Orange Wine).
Tourism
Since 2022, the Osteria Greca restaurant operates on the first floor of the winery, offering pairings of local dishes with the estate's wines. The estate is open to visitors by appointment.
