Estate Argyros

Intro

Estate Argyros is the largest single estate in Santorini, with over 120 hectares of privately owned vineyards. It was founded in 1903 by Georgios Argyros and is currently managed by the fourth generation, led by Matthaios Argyros. The estate combines tradition and modern expertise in wine production.

Estate

Estate Argyros was founded in 1903 by Georgios Argyros in Episkopi Gonia, Santorini. Today, the management is in its fourth generation, led by Matthaios Argyros since 2004.

Vineyards

The estate boasts over 120 hectares of privately owned vineyards at an altitude of 35–150 meters, with volcanic, sandy soils and a "kouloura" training system. The vineyards primarily cultivate the indigenous varieties of Santorini: Assyrtiko, Aidani, Athiri, Mavrotragano, Mandilaria. Some of the most notable labels include Estate Argyros Assyrtiko, Estate Barrel, Mavrotragano, Vinsanto, and Chocolate Vinsanto.

Tourism

The estate offers visitor tasting packages with tours of the vineyard and winery. Basic tasting (3 wines) from €15/person and Extended tasting (7 wines with accompaniments) up to €40/person. The experience concludes with a tasting of Vinsanto and local products.
