Intro

Patriotis Winery is located in Kato Vouves, in the Municipality of Platanias, Chania, Crete, in a location globally renowned for its historical significance, next to the Ancient Olive Tree of Vouves. It is a modern, boutique winery, the culmination of a long family tradition in viticulture and winemaking. It focuses on producing high-quality wines, aiming for each bottle to best showcase the richness of the Cretan land, the unique heritage of Vouves, and the distinctive microclimate of Chania.

Estate

Four generations of history unfold in the vineyards of Vouves, starting from the early 20th century with great-grandfather Manolis Stylianoudakis, the family's first winemaker. This tradition matured over time until the 1960s, when grandson Stelios officially established the winery. Today, the winery has entered its most creative phase under the guidance of oenologist Panagiotis Stylianoudakis, a fourth-generation winemaker.

Vineyards

The privately-owned vineyards are located in the semi-mountainous area of Vouves and benefit from their strategic position. The strong presence of limestone in the soil ensures excellent drainage. Cultivation is carried out with absolute respect for the environment and the biodiversity of the landscape. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand. The winery focuses on varieties such as Romeiko, Moschato Spinas, Assyrtiko, Avgoustiatis, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The main labels include Kotinos – white (Sauvignon Blanc / Assyrtiko) and Kotinos - red (Syrah), Aspasia – rosé (Romeiko), Avgoustiatis (Avgoustiatis), Muscat of Spina (Moschato Spinas).
