Ktima Parparousi
Intro
Ktima Parparousi was founded in 1974 by oenologist Thanasis Parparousis and his wife Vasso, on the family estate in Bozaitika, Patras. From the beginning, it has been one of the most respected winemaking units in the Peloponnese, with all phases of cultivation, winemaking, aging, and bottling taking place on-site.
Estate
Ktima Parparousi was established in 1974 in Bozaitika, Patras by Thanasis and Vasso Parparousis. Since the 1990s, the winery's philosophy has focused on quality production and export presence.
Vineyards
The privately owned vineyards are located in Bozaitika and Lappa Achaia, with an additional area of 10 stremmas in Movri. Varieties cultivated include Assyrtiko, Athiri, Sideritis, Mavrodaphne (dry), and Cabernet Sauvignon. Reds: fermentation for 30–35 days with indigenous yeasts, aging in Allier oak barrels (60% new, 40% second use). Whites: low temperatures, minimal intervention, use of sur lie technique for finesse and complexity. Iconic labels include Doria tou Dionysou, Drosallis, Assyrtiko, Petite Fleur, Lotos, Oinari, Nemea Reserve, Pronomio Limited Edition, Taos, and Moschato Rio Patras.
Tourism
The estate is known for its location, often referred to as the "Little Tuscany of Patras." It is surrounded by eucalyptus, plane trees, fruit trees, peacocks, and ducks, creating a unique agritourism atmosphere just 4 km from the city center.
