Ktima Papaioannou
Intro
Ktima Papaioannou is located in Ancient Nemea, Corinthia, one of the most historic wine regions of Greece. The founder, Thanasis Papaioannou, was a pioneer in promoting Agiorgitiko, and today the work is continued by chemist-oenologist Giorgos Papaioannou, investing in organic vineyards and a modern winery.
Vineyards
The vineyards extend over selected locations in the PDO Nemea zone, utilizing microclimates and soils ideal for quality viticulture. Greek varieties: Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko, Malagousia. International: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Petit Verdot. The cultivation is organic, aiming for the genuine expression of the terroir.
Tourism
The winery is open to visitors by appointment, offering: Tastings in a specially designed area. A shop with a selection of the estate's labels. An experience that combines traditional knowledge with a modern oenological approach and a strong sense of terroir.
