Domaine Tatsis
Intro
Domaine Tatsis is known for its pioneering role in organic and biodynamic cultivation, with a production philosophy of 'real wines'.
Estate
Domaine Tatsis is located 2 km outside Goumenissa, on the slopes of Mount Paiko (Western Macedonia). The family tradition began in 1924 when refugees from Eastern Rumelia settled in the area. The winery was the first in Greece to be certified for organic cultivation and later obtained Demeter biodynamic certification.
Vineyards
The vineyards cover approximately 32 hectares and host Greek and international varieties: Xinomavro, Negoska, Limnio, Roditis, Malagousia, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. The style includes white, rosé, orange, red, and sweet wines, many of which are unfiltered and untreated.
Tourism
The winery welcomes visitors with organized tastings of 3–7 labels (€12–20/person), accompanied by a tour of the facilities and vineyards.
