Ktima Glinavos

Intro

Ktima Glinavos was founded in 1978 by oenologist Lefteris Glinavos with the vision of highlighting the PDO Zitsa region through quality wines.

Estate

Located in Dilofo Zagorochoria, in a semi-mountainous microclimate with a unique terroir, it has 145 stremmas of vineyards. The estate has received multiple international awards (Decanter World Wine Awards, PAR Wine Awards, Asia Wine Trophy) for labels such as Syrah, Vlahiko, and Primus Zitsa.

Vineyards

Varieties: indigenous such as Debina, Vlahiko, Bekari, as well as international (Malagouzia, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah). Facilities: the winery covers 3,000 sq.m., with an underground cellar of 380 sq.m. for aging in 400 oak barrels. Wines: Plagies Glinavos (blends of Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot, Assyrtiko–Roditis, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay). Paleokerisio: a unique semi-sparkling orange wine from Debina with the addition of Vlahiko, bottled in 500 ml.

Tourism

Tour of the vineyards and winery. Tasting in a room overlooking the vineyards and Mount Pindos. Food & wine pairing with local delicacies (e.g., Debina with grilled eel).
