Estate
Goumas Estate Winery is located in the Trilagada area, near the mountainous village of Maries in northwestern Zakynthos.
Vineyards
The estate has 40 stremmas of vineyards in mountainous Zakynthos, at an altitude of 450–600 meters. The climate is Mediterranean, mountainous, and cool, while the clay and loamy soils, combined with the significant temperature difference between day and night and the cool air currents, create ideal conditions for producing quality grapes. The average age of the vineyards is approximately 15 years, and manual harvesting is practiced. Production is based on indigenous varieties of Zakynthos: White: Vostilidi, Red: Avgoustiatis, Pavlos. The wines are produced with respect for tradition and ecological awareness, highlighting the authenticity of the island.
Tourism
Goumas Estate is open to visitors by appointment and offers tours and tastings in Greek, English, and French. Visits are conducted Monday to Saturday, 11:00–19:00, and the winery is accessible for people with disabilities.
