Patistis Winery
Intro
Patistis Winery is a family business based in Argalasti, Pelion, on the southeastern slopes of the mountain, between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean Sea.
Estate
It was founded in the 1980s (some sources mention 1980, others 1983).
Vineyards
The vineyards cover approximately 60 stremmas and are cultivated organically, without fertilizers or intensive irrigation. Initially, local varieties such as Xinomavro, Roditis, and Limnio were cultivated, and later Assyrtiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah were added. The climate of Pelion, with cool winters, warm days, and sea humidity, along with the sandy-limestone soil, provides a unique terroir reflected in their wines. The approach is low-intervention / natural, with indigenous yeasts and limited interventions. Some characteristic labels: Kamara Hills (Xinomavro), Blanc de Noir (Xinomavro 95% – Assyrtiko 5%), RoditoActive (Roditis).
