Ktimata Kamkouti
Intro
Ktimata Kamkouti is located in the fertile plain of Velventos, in Kozani, at an altitude of approximately 400 meters, between the Pieria Mountains and Lake Polyfytos. This unique mesoclimate creates ideal conditions for vine cultivation and wine production.
Estate
The family tradition began a century ago with the grandparents, while the stone-built winery was established in 2004 by the 3rd and 4th generation of the Kamkouti family. The winery has received significant accolades in recent years: Xinomavro 2021: Gold Medal and 95/100 at the Thessaloniki Wine & Spirits Trophy 2025. Tsapournakos 2021 and Kourites Red 2020: Silver Medals. Kourites White 2024 and Malagouzia 2024: Bronze Medals.
Vineyards
The vineyards are exclusively located in Velventos, with low yields ensuring high quality. Both Greek and international varieties are cultivated: Xinomavro (with a special clone from Velventos), the rare local Tsapournakos, as well as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tourism
The winery is just 2 km from the entrance of Velventos and is open to visitors all year round. Guests are guided through the vineyards and cellar, enjoying tastings with historical and gastronomic background. The estate also participates in organized wine tours, such as Wine Journeys by the Lake, which combine wine experience with local gastronomy.
