Western Macedonia
Western Macedonia is one of the key viticultural regions of northern Greece, with vineyards largely planted at higher elevations around lakes and mountain ranges. The climate is strongly continental with cold winters and cool summers, conditions that favor wines with high acidity and finesse. The region includes PDO Amyndeon and PDO Siatista, as well as the PGI Florina indication, highlighting the distinct character of the western Macedonian vineyard.
