Kir-Yianni Estate was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, continuing the family tradition with a new perspective and aiming to promote Xinomavro on an international level.
Estate
Kir-Yianni Estate was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris. It is located on the slopes of Mount Vermio, within the PDO Naoussa zone. In 2022, the wine tourism center opened in Naoussa, and in 2024, the second tasting room will open in Amyntaio. International recognition with labels such as Diaporos.
Vineyards
The vineyards extend on the slopes of Mount Vermio, covering over 500 stremmas at an altitude of 250–350 meters. Vineyards were also developed in Amyntaio (~170 stremmas), while collaborating with about 400 stremmas of local producers. The terroir is characterized by a cool climate, diverse exposures, and clay soils. The Xinomavro variety is at the heart of winemaking with labels such as Cuvée Villages, Ramnista, Diaporos, Ble Alepou, Fallen Oak, Dyo Elies.
Tourism
The wine tourism center in Naoussa attracts approximately 15,000 visitors annually. Experiences include tours & tastings (3–12 labels) with a platter of local cheeses, wine picnic in the vineyard, cycling routes with e-bikes, Grand Kir-Yianni tasting (~€25/person), and private premium tasting (~€40/person).
