Domaine Tatsis
Intro
Domaine Tatsis is located 2 km outside Goumenissa, on the slopes of Mount Paiko. It is the first Greek winery to be certified for organic farming and later obtained the Demeter biodynamic certification. The winery's annual production amounts to approximately 60,000 bottles.
Estate
Domaine Tatsis was founded in 1924 by refugees from Eastern Rumelia. It is located in the Goumenissa PDO Zone, on the slopes of Mount Paiko in Western Macedonia.
Vineyards
The 200 stremmas of vineyards are cultivated using biodynamic practices at an altitude of 300–350 meters. The varieties include Greek ones such as Xinomavro, Negoska, Pamidi, Fartsalo, Roditis Alepou, and international ones such as Chardonnay and Cinsault. The style includes white, rosé, orange, red, and sweet wines, many of which are unfiltered and minimally interventionist.
Tourism
The winery welcomes visitors by appointment, offering tours and tastings in Greek and English. Visits are conducted Monday–Friday 10:00–15:00 and Saturday 10:00–14:00, and the facilities are accessible for people with disabilities.
