Klados Winery

Intro

In Skepasti Mylopotamou, approximately 25 km east of Rethymno, Klados Winery is one of the most modern wineries in Crete.

Estate

Founded in 1997 by chemist-oenologist Emmanouil Klados, it experienced significant growth with the construction of new facilities in 2007.

Vineyards

The family organically cultivates the local white variety Vidiano (certified by DIO). White varieties: Vidiano, Vilana, Plyto, Moschato Spinas, Thrapsathiri, Sauvignon Blanc. Red varieties: Kotsifali, Liatiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah. The annual production reaches 100,000 liters. The winery covers 700 sq.m. with modern equipment and has been operating with energy autonomy through photovoltaics since 2012. Labels: White Diva, Pink Blackbird, Mega Geraki.

Tourism

The winery is open to visitors and offers tours of the facilities, tastings in multiple languages (Greek, English, Italian, German), and events in a welcoming space. Visiting hours: April 15 – October 15: Mon–Fri 10:00–18:00, Saturday 10:00–15:00. November – March: by appointment.
