Ktima Gerovassiliou was established in 1981 by Vangelis Gerovassiliou in Epanomi, Thessaloniki, with the revival of a family vineyard of 2.5 ha.
Estate
Ktima Gerovassiliou was founded in 1981 in Epanomi, Thessaloniki. Vangelis Gerovassiliou is internationally recognized as one of the leading winemakers. The estate has received accolades such as Winery of the Year from Wine & Spirits magazine and European Winery of the Year from the Ceuco organization.
Vineyards
The vineyard spans 95 ha with a Mediterranean climate and sandy-limestone soils. Varieties cultivated include Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Limnio, Mavroudi, Mavrotragano, Xinomavro, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Syrah, Merlot. Cultivation is fully controlled according to AGRO 2.1–2.2 standards, and all work is done manually.
Tourism
Visits by appointment with tours of the vineyard, winery, and Wine Museum. Tastings, seminars, educational programs, thematic and artistic events, and music evenings are offered.
