Paterianakis Estate
Intro
Paterianakis Estate is located in Melesses Pediados, approximately 18 km from Heraklion, at an altitude of 650 meters. It was founded in the 1990s by Giorgos Paterianakis, a civil engineer with family roots in viticulture, who built the winery with respect for nature and modern winemaking.
Estate
Founded in the 1990s by Giorgos Paterianakis. The winery was completed in 1997. Paterianakis Estate was a pioneer in organic winemaking in Crete, producing the island's first organic wine in 1997.
Vineyards
The estate includes 160–200 stremmas of privately owned vineyards with a south–northwest orientation, cultivated organically and certified by the organization DIO. The estate cultivates both indigenous and international varieties. Notable labels include: Melissokipos White 2024 – a white wine with freshness and balance, Moschato Spinas – an organic expression with intense fruity and floral aromas.
