Dugos Winery
Intro
Dugos Winery features simple and functional facilities, harmonized with the natural environment of the Olympus valley. Its location in one of Greece's most historic and quality viticulture zones gives it a unique identity.
Estate
Dugos Winery is located at the foothills of Mount Olympus, in the Tempi Valley (Pieria), at an altitude of 550–700 meters. It was founded in 1991 by the Dugos family. Dugos Winery holds the PDO Rapsani status and has been awarded 2 gold and 3 silver medals in international competitions, while its labels have been rated up to 90/100 by Wine & Spirits magazine.
Vineyards
The vineyards are cultivated exclusively using organic methods, on schist soils rich in iron. The varieties include: Greek: Xinomavro, Krasato, Stavroto, Limniona, Roditis, Assyrtiko. International: Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache Rouge. Rapsani Old Vines: a blend of Xinomavro, Krasato, and Stavroto, aged in barrels and bottles for up to 24 months. Meth’Imon “L” 2023: an experimental blend with Limniona in the forefront.
